Precision tools for close inspection
Put every pixel under inspection.
Open exact color fields, alignment grids, sharpness targets, and tonal ramps from a compact browser-based workbench.
Built for deliberate visual inspection at 100% browser zoom.

Built for the details
Nine direct tools, ordered from fine geometry to tone and motion. Pick the signal you need.
Animated and changing-brightness tools are optional. Stop if a pattern causes discomfort.
02 / Method
Bench setup
Control the viewing conditions before you inspect the result.
- 01
Normalize
Use the display’s native resolution and set browser zoom to 100% when practical.
- 02
Inspect
Scan in a repeatable path: top to bottom, then center to each corner.
- 03
Cross-check
Use a second pattern to verify whether an apparent defect remains visible.
Read before judging
Know the limits of a browser pattern
Operating-system scaling, browser zoom, panel processing, and viewing distance all affect what you see. Knur reports no automated measurement.
03 / Useful answers
Before you inspect
Does the grid equal the physical pixel grid?
Not necessarily. CSS pixels can be scaled by the browser, operating system, and device pixel ratio. Use it as a visual alignment reference.
Why does the sharpness target look soft?
First check native resolution, browser zoom, display scaling, and monitor sharpness settings. Those variables can alter the pattern.
Can this repair a stuck pixel?
No. Knur only displays test patterns and does not attempt repair procedures.
